Enhanced Features That Are Included:
The New and Improved Expanded Ribbon
The Fluent User Interface was first introduced in the 2007 Office suite. Now, this version carries out this legacy but with better capabilities and functions. The ribbon is now designed and organized in tabs, groups, and menus so that users can quickly search for their necessary tools and commands. The related commands are arranged in groups. The groups that are also related are contained together in Tabs such as Home, Send/Receive, Folder, and View.
Backstage View to Manage Your Account
This is also a notable additional feature in this version of Outlook. As you use the app, you will immediately notice the File button beside the Home tab. This is the backstage of the application. It is where you can find the print commands, account management options, set up rules and automatic replies, and other options. The new Microsoft Office Backstage View also provides the options on the properties of the file you are working with.
Conversation View for Managing Messages
Outlook 2010 does away the stress from cluttered emails. The improved conversation view allows the users to organize the emails based on the message they contain. Related messages will now be automatically arranged. With this upgrade, it is now easier to search for messages and keep track of the conversation. The emails or messages could also be arranged based on dates, and the new message will automatically go on the top of the list.
Faster Actions by Using Quick Steps
As it was mentioned earlier, the new features in this version are focused on making your work faster. This purpose is emphasized in the new Quick Steps option of Outlook. Quick Steps is where you can customize and gather the tools and commands you often use. This option also contains the familiar controls.
Meeting Reply for Easier Schedule Sharing
With this new feature, setting a meeting has never been this easy. You can now send meeting schedules to all message recipients by using this command. You can add all the recipients to the meeting request in just a click.
Find the Right Tools Using Instant Search
This is new to the Outlook app. The command allows you to narrow down the search result by sorting them by criteria such as subject keyword, sender, and other methods. The search bar contains a set of filters that could be used to isolate and focus on the item that you want efficiently.
Clean up Redundant Messages
Reduce the noise in your mailbox by cleaning off unnecessary messages. You do this through the use of Clean up Conversation command. This feature is crucial to lessen the confusion caused by redundant replies. With this feature, you can now see the bigger picture of the conversation because it will automatically put the response at the top and only shows the most recent conversation.
Avoid Mistakes Using MailTips
This new feature can save you from potential mistakes when sending messages. The MailTips feature can be triggered by a particular action in the app such as clicking the Reply All, sending sensitive info to new recipients not included in your list, and so on. With this new improvement, you can now rest assured that all your messages are mistake-proof.
